($) Cine Paraíso has the convenience of being located in Zihuatanejo Centro and boasts three screens to choose from. It has old-fashioned folding cinema seats, but the air-conditioning is comfortable and the sound system has improved over recent years thanks to remodeling and the opening of the second and third screens.

just the facts, ma'am: Cine Paraíso is open daily; most shows start around 5 pm, and later shows start around 8:30 or 9 pm. Sunday matinees are at 11 am and 1 pm. Mondays and Wednesdays are two for one admittance for the first showing. Parking on the street.

($$) Definitely the luxury theater in the area, Cinema Flamingo Ixtapa provides comfy chairs and air-conditioning to accompany the movie-watching experience. Great sound system and snacks at the snack bar round out the experience.

($) If you want to combine a quick video rental with your afternoon grocery shopping, Video Vision is just for you. Video Vision has all the latest movies on DVD in regions 1 and 4 (1 is US/Canada, 4 is Mexico and South America), and many movies on VHS.

just the facts, ma'am: video rentals are 25 pesos per day for recent releases and 25 pesos for two days for older releases.
