($$) Sylvia Gotzeler established Blossom Yoga Studio in Zihuatanejo four years ago and has worked to create a satisfying yoga experience for both seasoned and novice yoga practitioners. With daily morning classes under a serene palapa roof, locals and tourists can start their day with meditation, focused breathing, and an hourlong Iyengar-based Hatha class of both relaxing and strengthening poses. Sylvia also teaches tailored private and semi-private classes in the location of your choosing. All classes are taught in English.

just the facts, ma'am: Sylvia offers group classes Monday-Friday from 9:30 - 10:30 am. Group classes are $10 USD or a package of 5 classes for $40 USD.

Owner/Stylist Kimberly Nicols has been a staple of the Zihuatanejo/Ixtapa community for over 19 years and her salon offers hair cuts and styling, color, highlights, manicures, pedicures, massages or Magic Tan.

just the facts, ma'am: Lavender & Roses is open Mondays through Saturdays, from 10 am until 3 pm, and by appointment for weddings and special occasions. The salon is air conditioned and always has soft music playing in the background to round out the spa-like experience.

don't miss: Lavender & Roses is one of the only places where you can get a manicure or pedicure with paraffin wax included. It’s relaxing and always seems to take a few years off the hands and feet.

Services offered include haircuts, color, highlights, permanent, manicure, pedicure, gel and acrylic nails, make-up and waxing. The prices are surprisingly reasonable, and Liliana and her assistant, Erika, are friendly and charming.

just the facts, ma'am: Liliana’s is open from 9:30 am to 6 pm on Monday through Friday, and 9:30 to 5 on Saturday. The salon is very basic, but Liliana and Erika have been well trained, and they know what they are doing.
