Probably our most upscale department store in Zihuatanejo (and by some definitions, our only department store) is Coppel. They sell everything you would expect to see in a department store: furniture for the bedroom, living room and dining room, appliances for your kitchen, televisions and stereo equipment, tires, children’s toys and cribs, and clothing and shoes for the whole family. There is not a huge selection of each item they sell, but the stock is nicer and in better condition than most other places in the Zihuatanejo-Ixtapa area. On hot days, it's refreshing to make a run to Coppel, if only just to browse and cool down in the air conditioning.
just the facts, ma'am: Coppel is open Monday through Saturday 10 am to 8 pm, Sunday from 11 am to 6 pm. Parking is available. Free home delivery.
