Internet Plus internet café and computer store has had a shop in downtown Zihua on Calle Vicente Guerrero for over 7 years, but now they also have a huge new location to house even more computers and more stock. Soon they will be even expanding their new store to the second level of the building.

just the facts, ma'am: Internet Plus’ new location has an entire wall lined with computers for your internet and computing needs. The shop is still being stocked, and sells computers, printers, print cartridges, printer paper, mother boards, hard drives, DVD drives, CDRs and much, much more. There is also a technician on stand by to help you set up your new computer and answer questions or fix any problems that may come up.

For technology purchases that are not available in Comercial Mexicana, Bodega, or the various computer shops around town, thankfully we have the option of online within Mexico orders. PC En Linea (translated PC Online) allows you to place an order online and even request next day delivery (although not all products can be shipped that quickly). When you add up the cost of tax and shipping, the prices are equivalent to those at many US stores, and you don’t have to wait for a friend to bring your purchase to Zihua for you.

just the facts, ma'am: PC En Linea is open for telephone assistance and order processing Monday through Friday, from 9 am to 7 pm. Online payment must be from a Mexican bank account or International PayPal account. Otherwise, payment may be made by going to the nearest Banamex and depositing the correct amount to the PC En Linea account. Once payment is confirmed, shipments go out within 1 to 2 business days. Shipment is made through a reputable shipping service and you can track the progress of your purchase online. The website is completely in Spanish, but luckily many computer products have the same name in English and Spanish.

By far the most popular satellite tv company in Mexico is Sky TV. You have a choice of several different programming packages that include over 200 channels for your viewing (and listening) pleasure.

just the facts, ma'am: Packages available are Fun (194 channels), Movie City (202 channels), HBO/Max (206 channels) and Universe (220 channels). Fifty channels in each package are audio/music channels. Most of the channels are in Spanish, but several channels are in English.

T.V.Cable Del Sol provides several cable tv packages and also internet services via cable modem. The cable tv packages include economical (24 channels), mini basic (40 channels), the basic (60 channels), and a program package for hotels (50 channels). The cable modem comes in 64 kb/sec, 128 kb/sec or 256kb/sec.

just the facts, ma'am: although some television shows are American programs with Spanish subtitles, there are only two channels that are English speaking channels, and much of the rest of the programming is dubbed into Spanish. For both cable tv and cable modem, there are different rates based on rentals and contracts, and deposits are required.
